Indication : Why is this medication prescribed?

Angina pectoris.

Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?

Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient
Severe hypotension, heart failure, marked anaemia, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, ptients with cerebral haemorrhage or head trauma, low cardiac output secondary to hypovolaemia, inferior MI with right ventricular involvement, raised intracranial pressure. Hypothyroidism.

Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication

Severe hepatic or renal impairment. Malnutrition, hypothermia, gluacoma, mitral valve prolapse, cardiac tamponade. Pregnancy and lactation.

What are possible side effects of this medication ?

Flushing of the face, dizziness, tachycardia, throbbing headache and tolerance. Abdominal pain, apprehension, weakness, vertigo. Paradoxical bradycardia.
