Indication : Why is this medication prescribed?
Ovarian carcinoma. Breast Cancer. Advanced non-smell cell lung cancer. AIDS related Kaposis sarcoma.
Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?
Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient
Hypersensitivity. Pregnancy, lactation and children. concurrent serious uncontrolled infections.Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication
Bone marrow suppression during therapy.
What are possible side effects of this medication ?
Bone marrow depression, hypersensitivity reactions, myalgia, chest pain, bradycardia, a stocking-glove sensory neuropathy, mucositis, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, alopeia. Tachycardia, rash, hypotension, arthralgia, rarely hepatic necrosis and encephalopathy.
