Indication : Why is this medication prescribed?

Allergic conditions (urticaria, rhinitis, conjunctivitis).

Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?

Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient
Hypersensitivity. Significant cardiac disease or hepatic disease. Electrolyte imbalance particularly hypokalemia. Patients taking drugs known to prolong QT interval. Pregnancy, lactation and children below the age of twelve years.

Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication

Hepatic impairment, tasks requiring mental alertness, elderly.

What are possible side effects of this medication ?

Drowsiness, fatigue, increased appetite, dry mouth, abdominal pain, vertigo (incidence is low).
