Indication : Why is this medication prescribed?

Lysis of suspected occlusive coronary artery thrombi associated with evolving transmural MI in adults.

Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?

Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient
Hypertension with possible cerebrovascular haemorrhage. Ulcerative colitis, subacute bacterial endocarditis. GI bleeding. Recent haemorrhage. Acute pancreatitis or hepatic disease, recent trauma.

Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication

Diabetes mellitus, proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Hepatic and renal impairment, recent surgery or invasive procedures.

What are possible side effects of this medication ?

Nausea, vomiting, headache, rash pruritus. Intra cerebral haemorrhage, GI and genito urinary bleeding.
