Medium acting non-depolarising muscle relaxation in general anesthesia during surgical procedures.

Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?

Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient
Hypersensitivity. Depressed respiration. Anuria. Obstetrics-prior to delivery. Pregnancy.

Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication

Myasthenia gravis. Myopathy. Poliomyelitis. Severe cardiovascular disease. Severe obesity. Hypertension. Hepatic and renal impairment. Electrolyte disturbances. Elderly.

What are possible side effects of this medication ?

Bronchospasm, flushing, hypotension. Tachycardia, vagal blockade, miosis, excessive salivation, acute quadriplegic myopathy syndrome, respiratory depression.
