Indication : Why is this medication prescribed?

Resistant cancers of stomach, cervix, colon, rectum, bladder, breast, eye, liver, lung and prostate.

Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?

Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient
Bone marrow depression. Coagulation disorders. Pregnancy and lactation.

Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication

Thrombocytopenia. Necrosis. Leukopenia.

What are possible side effects of this medication ?

CHF, fever, alopecia, nail banding/discoloration, nausea,vomiting, anorexia, anaemia, rash, stomatitis, paraesthesia, increased creatinine, interstitial pneumonitis, infiltrates, dyspnoea, cough, malaise, pruritus, extravasation, bladder fibrosis. Myelosuppression, haemolytic-uraemic syndrome.
