Indication : Why is this medication prescribed?

Ocular hypertention , open-angle glaucoma, psuedoexfoliative glaucoma.

Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?

Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient
Severe renal impairment, hypersensitivity, hyperchloraemic acidosis. Lactation.

Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication

Hepatic impairment, systemic absorption following topical administration, history of renal calculi, chronic corneal defects, history of intra ocular surgery.

What are possible side effects of this medication ?

Conjunctivitis, superficial punctate keratitis, ocular burning, stinging or itching eyelid inflammation and crusting blurred vision, lachrymation anterior uveitis, transient myopia, corneal oedema, iridocyclitis, headache, dizziness, paraesthesia, asthenia, sinusitis, nausea, hypersensitivity reactions, bitter taste, epistaxis, urolithiasis, rhinitis.
