Indication (Prescribed for or used as): Termination of early pregnancy in combination with prostaglandins. Termination of pregnancy during trimester II and III. Induction of labor in the case of foetus mortus. Immediates post-coital emergency contraception. Contraception with continuous/intermittent administration. Progesterone dependent malignancies, breast cancer, meningioma. Endometriosis. Uterine leiomyoma. Induction of normal labor. Extrauterine pregnancy. Induction of menses (once a month administration).

MisoprostolIndication (Prescribed for or used as): Misoprostol is used to prevent ulcers in people who take certain arthritis or pain medicines, including aspirin, that can cause ulcers. It protects the stomach lining and decreases stomach acid secretion.Termination of pregnancy (49 days or less duration). Cervical ripening before surgical termination of pregnancy in the 1st trimester. Prevention and treatment of NSAID associated gastrointestinal injury and blood loss.
